My adhd

Basically me yelling at the world to stop harping on me about ADHD without understanding it.

I know I am hyperactive!
I know I am always distracted!
But don't tell me it isn't real,
You don't know how I feel!
Yes, I know I'm so emotional!
Yes, I know I'm very excitable!
But don't tell me it's an excuse,
You do not know my abuse!
Don't tell me I'm not even trying,
When on the inside I'm dying,
Cause no one tries to understand,
That though I'm a mess I have a plan!
My head is a whirling mess!
So don't tell me this isn't my best!
Don't tell me I want attention!
When you won't even listen!
You don't need to change this!
Just look at the words on the pages,
That show you my brilliance!
You don't know what's it like to be me,
So stop telling me, it is just ADHD!

Spot-on writing. I suffer too, though one "D" less, and "only" ADD and that is hard enough for me to cope with. I really do not want to read Wikipedia pages for three hours while I have expired deadlines but it just.......happens.

One comment on your poem - even though people misunderstand us, I try to interpret their comments as genuine concern. This helps me to not get so worked up about it. In the end we need to make life work for us, come hell or high water.

I exaggerated for a point. This poem was written for my report on ADHD. This is just to explains the hardships behind ADHD, but I end my speech with though ADHD makes my life difficult, sometimes it helps me create something beautiful. I not effected much by people's opinions on the subject, I just wanted to write something about it though.
