Dark Humor

A Poem by Hello Hero
"

*consideration for a song. (I've always loved this one, so I probably will use it in the near future)

"

05-25-06

Is it your only desire to oppress me?

"Don't talk.

Don't move.

Just sit quietly."

You've made me your personal mannequin

        (Lifeless.)

"Just stand around and look pretty."

But---

my face is brightly painted

        (Like a harlequin.)

I'm the fool, and everyone knows it.

My checks flush as they all laugh.

I'm the subject matter of a deadpan, dry-humored joke.

But what can I do?

You're the one who pulls all the strings here.

The corners of my mouth are stained into a smile

Eyes that are described as beautiful as opals,

are actually in reality:

Hollow,

    never-ending

            pools of emptiness.

About
I am extremely honest. I don't see any point in lying, and people who do so unneccesarily particularly get under my skin, so I tend to distance myself from them. There is only a small group of people .. more..
