Broken Wings

Broken Wings

A Poem by smashley

You gave me hope,
I took your word.
Then you shot me down,
As if I were a bird.

But didn't learn,
I still came back.
Hobbling to you feet,
One wing still in tack.

I'm not broken,
Look I can still fly.
Once I reached clouds,
POW! Shot out the sky.

Just like that,
You didn't care.
But I still have these broken wings,
That I forever wear.

At lease I,
Got to taste the sky.
People like you,
Never make it that high...

Very nice last verse i enjoyed the little rhym and i think your onto something here. People that only destroy and never give back never do make it places in life.
