Rest In Peace

Rest In Peace

A Poem by Clark
"

laying things...people to rest. written specifically for a person, but always applicable.

"

Rest In Peace
To touch, to kiss those cold dead lips
To be with you again...
I would cross deserted lands
To again be hip to hip.

At night, ere sleep, in agony,
I think of you again...
The weks have spanned across my hands,
But still I feel you near me.

The ink, it spreads across the page.
I write of you again...
But now's the time I lay thee t'rest.
I suppose it's for the best.
