Snow-globes.

Lately, I have come to feel like my world

is contained in a snow globe

on a child's bedroom shelf.

Every time the dust settles to the ground

its shaken around again.

When I was a child,

I thought, that when I grew up

I would just know;

How to handle any situation.

How to maintain complete control.

Someone said that life is like a roller coaster,

I disagree.

My whole world is.

Travelling at 66,600 mph and spinning at 1,000

leaves everything unstable.

I never learnt how to gain control.

Its foolish to have ever thought I could.

But what I learnt from society,

is how to pretend,

and fool the next generation.
