The Change.

The Change.

A Poem by T. Wes Smith

A change ever so abrupt, do you know what you have done to him, he’s anxious to the point he feels as though he will erupt, you’ve turned this man back into a boy, that feels hope, love and a yearning for the one he wants, the one he loves, do you dare ask him why, he sees the beauty in you, that you dare to admire, each and every bit of you he cherishes, he loves your strengths, your weaknesses, worships each flaw as if it were his gift, the image you see in the mirror, pure beauty from his eyes, do you dare argue to differ, he feels as though his heart has ripped in two, until the day, that he and you can see this through, the day that comes without restraints, so that he may proclaim his feelings without delay, he sees the imperfect perfection he so long searched for in others, and he found it in you, hope restored and a new outlook for the future, thank you love… I think you saved me

This is quite a moving piece. Such power and truth in your words. It is amazing. This almost perfectly defines a relationship. Hardships, romance, happiness, acceptance. I truly love it.

My only suggestion is to make it more appealing to the eye. Paragraph breaks separating each different thought. Makes it easier to read. For a poem, where the thoughts are so brief, its difficult to read with such a long line length.

But still a great piece.
