Burning Everlasting

Burning Everlasting

A Poem by T. Wes Smith

Burning for everlasting, a touch that transcends the rest, I am in suspense and the possibility’s to be won and lost in this instant, have I found the counter weight to my pendulum, my equilibrium, trivia to pass our time together to be spent far from one another, the bond of spirits can be built much stronger, this is the foundation, and end to my burning everlasting to deny what is possible here and to suffer, sacrifice, when the outcome would not suffice, tell me the end that rears its ugly head after happily ever after, to be avoided in one simple yet swift motion, filled with emotion, chasing a dream,  a thought, a hint of a chance, that this perhaps, could cool the coals to my burning everlasting…
