Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by slyangelm02

I waited very patently

For you to come home to me

You never did

I waited for the lies to stop

The truth to come out

My heart stops

I waited for you to stop my tears

Drowning in sorrow

Washed away by fears

I waited for you to stop pushing me away

To cherish me above all

My hopes waist away

I waited for you to notice what you had

Our love suffered

Going bad

No longer do I wait for you

I don’t have to

No longer do I hear lies

He has nothing to hide

No longer do I wait on tears

He has washed away my fears

No longer am I pushed away

He wants me to stay

No longer do I wait for you to notice what you had

You now know, How sad

Now that I’m gone, moved on

Being held in his arms

Now you want me, you now realize

It’s too late, I’m at his side

not bad of a job. Just some grammar mistakes but it is OK. I love how you stayed in one topic and continued with it. Nice one.
