A poem of longing i wrote awhile back

I believe in you

In me

In what we could be if allowed

The hopes, dreams

Could be achieved if you would just listen

 

It could work

No way to know

Until you jump head first

 

Will we fail?

Possible

Should we try?

I think so

 

Are you willing?

 

 

I’m tired of being alone

Of longing for what I let go

Denying my true feelings

Are you?

 

Do you still feel that spark?

That your dark eyes once ignited with

When our gazes meet

So long ago

 

Could you accept me as I would you?

Would you even try

Would I be left to cry?

Could you accept all of me

A child not your own?

 

Could you? Should you?

 

Could you forgive what was done?

Is there love still

Are you capable?
