I was going through some tough things and writing has always seemed to help me through those.

No Reason

If you can't reach me

Don't be scared

Don't rush home to find me

Just know I always cared

I did what I had to do

Know that I always loved you

And the reason was not you

There was no reason at all

Don't try to understand why

Don't try to get inside my head

Don't try to decipher some code

Don't try determine the day I began to die

I did what I had to do

Know that I always loved you

If it was not for you

I would have left long ago

I take with me, memories of you

Time said I had to go

I hope you don't mind my saying this, but the poem is very "masculine" in its outlook. I can hear the resistance to providing a reason, probably because I have heard it so often before. You evoke a bleak feeling here, despite the words of love. I like this!
