i will wake

i will wake

A Poem by Shannon April Alice
"

This is a piece on that intensity of attraction. I tried to explore that growing aggressiveness of desire. That feeling of being in love, of being in a bubble.

"

you will lean across my body,
you pause as we both stare.
inside the cosmos of our eyes
two universes ask each other,
will you kiss me?
will you let me?
and you will lean across my body.
and you will breathe a breath so deep
it blows my hair behind my neck
which tickles my ear
and i hear you whisper a thousand secrets
in that tickled breathe
of how wicked, how divine you are.
and you will lean across this body
and your chest will heave mighty gasps
from mighty heartbeats
and quicked breaths.
valves that open and close like butterfly wings in pursuit
and you will lean across this body, my body
and i will feel your lips and they will feel as vast and endless and unforgiving as the ocean,
and you will lean, you will heavily... with all your might, you will lean across this body,
and you will grit your teeth like lovers will, when lovers want.
and you will lean across this body,
you will push across this body and you will grasp and dive, and fall, and tumble and
and you will lean across this body, my body, and you will kiss me
and i will wake.

I was told by a fellow writer here on the cafe to check you out. And I'm glad I did. You are talented my Dear. I loved the closing.....

you will push across this body and you will grasp and dive, and fall, and tumble and
and you will lean across this body, my body, and you will kiss me
and i will wake.

The ending made me think of Anne Rice's rendition of Sleeping Beauty. Erotic and ethereal all at the same time. Wonderfully penned.

Emotions`ve lost their value in today`s world .. mostly at the cascades of night so has the love. Nice imagery.

sometimes our feelings are nothing for the other, but for us they are the forces that drive us into the bliss of heavenly cosmos, where our legs fly and our hands are our wings and our virtues are our clothing, an elated joy or ending bliss.
sometimes they drive us far into the dark corners wherein our spirit creep into abyss of frustration, and our mind reaches heights of depression and we crawl and crawl to nowhere.
whatever our feelings are always entwines with other soul.

Intensity captured! I was expecting something totally different from the title (titles attract me) but was lead then taken reluctantly (for all of half a second) into something I had more of a connection to...passion.
This one BREATHES itself alive and into the air of others. Caught with my famous guards down. Well done.

Thanks for the (100/100) share!

I loved all your writes but this one I really loved because I am a hopeless romantic:) I found it breath taking and sensual if you will in awe moment of love:) but the very end got me was it a dream or real. I done many writes and personally feel just as this write within my own mind. I wonder within that dream my dream will it ever be. I long to see her face to gasp in the great gaspy ,to feel the wonders before the almighty heaven stars:) Yes I long to feel. Thank you for reminding me again dear poet.
