A Poem by slfisher89
"

30/30 use ten metaphors to make a poem

"
Staring off,
a million miles away
Figuring,
when to step up to the plate;
How to go back to the drawing board.
Brain storming clutter the space
Chalk to the right
Eraser to the left.

Thoughts play call and response,
in my head
Quiet
I examine the board

"This place is a zoo!"
"Cut me some slack!"

Add with the right
Subtract with the left

They say,
out on the horizon
you've missed the boat.

Erase all,
start with a clean slate.

''Put the chalk down,
you're a day late
dollar short"
"I can always rework"
'You're building castles in
the air"
"No, you're splitting hairs"
"You're not seeing the big picture,
my salad days await"
