The weather man says

The weather man says

A Poem by slfisher89

Past occurrences become reference points
Race divided areas,
Restrictive seating,
Blunt racism,
Thunderstorms patterns slow
Strong winds die down
Foresee sunny skies
Weather changes constantly
Nothing last, aside the humidity
Not seen, but felt
Reference points change
Financial barbwire,
Dwindling opportunity,
Gentrification,
Weather changes
The climate does not

If only strong winds could blow all prejudice away - even if we lived in a world where humans had no sight - someone would whisper into the ear of another - 'I don't like the sound of their voice!' Your poetic references highlight the need for a metaphorical storm; to shake both hearts and minds - good share! :-)
