Lest we forget

Lest we forget

A Poem by slfisher89

Safe spot
Mutual understanding
Warm soil
Unabiding love
Place seed in soil
Lay child in womb
Time ticks on
Growth

Construct a schematic design
Instill motrals and ethnics
Lay down;build up a steel frame
Show cause and effect
Bricks on which foundation builds

But what of the flipside?
Weed-ravaged garden
Hallowed-sunken eyes
Molded boarded-up house
Ill-fated stoop shoulders
Attention-deserted building
Vitality-abandoned soul

Does one favor the seed's growth over the condemn house?
The strong child over the broken man?
Broken can be fixed
With the right tools
Eyes
Ears
Voice
Use them
