Still Life

Still Life

A Poem by slfisher89

Sun-warmed jagged boulder;

heat-fried neck; Persian-blue

butterfly; crawls on a breeze-cooled

foot. Below; the spring bud-green grass.

Across; the deserted gray gravel street.

This poem to me feels like it is describing a painting. Which I would imagine was some what intended with the name Still Life.

Great Poem

This poem creates the motional images of stillness.
I love the way you have weaved your words

a fluttering still life-
with a breeze

I like your use of words
Still life...do you perhaps listen to Opeth? A bit of an unorthodox band, but maybe worth the listen! Still life is one of their albums, and your writingstyle kind of reminds me of them. Sincerely yours, Jules.
