Longing for Silence

Longing for Silence

A Poem by slfisher89

He hopes she will come to him,

But, the bell tolls of what can not be.

Forever; he shall wait for her;

Admiring her beauty from a far.

To her balcony he casts his spirit;she sees him

receives his love.

Casts her spirit on to him,

but the bell toils of what will never be.

Their spirits forever entangled; their spirits longling

One day they shall unite;

yet not in this worldly form.

Once the bell has seized.

Haunting and beautiful; it reminded me of a medieval ballad.

"Admiring her beauty from a far." - afar? or a far what?
"but the bell toils of what will never be." - toils?
"their spirits longling" - longing?

The message floats behind soooo many eyes as we each await our silence ...in hope.
