A Smile; Nothing More

A Smile; Nothing More

A Poem by slfisher89

” You don’t have to say seriously; people always think I think they’re kidding when I smile. I smile so much it means nothing”

“How can a smile mean nothing? There must be something behind it”

“When I seach within myself; I can’t find a superfical reason for my smile.”

“You must at least be happy in that moment.”

“Can’t say for certain.”

“A laugh or smile for you means nothing?”

“It means…well I’m displaying happiness to someone”

“So you’re happy then?”

“Can’t say.”

“My smiles mean something to other people…”

“They show your emotions…

“Only a layer…

“What lies beneath?”

“The abyss”

“So a meaningless smile? seems like a contradiction.”

“No, mere fact”
