A Poem by slfisher89

One moment the divison of the worlds makes it presence known.

In one I exist as a subordinate.

Equality can not be achieved; but my position is an accomplishment.

Past years I was an prisoner.

Was it the responsiblity I tried to obtain

or

my own display of maturity that caused the warden to change my position?

No, only time

Frustration and debt are intetwined in this world.

My sanctury lies in soltidude.

Assimilation into the new world occured not long ago;

Comradely exist.

Unsure of my position.

My sanctury lies with other people.

The division of the worlds becomes apparent

once I enter the old one.

Realization wraps around me

like strangling vines

This place has changed.

No, I have changed

My connection with this place slowly disintergrated

as my relationship with the new world grew.

I am a visitor here.

My presence in the new world will soon no longer be needed.

What can I call home?
