Rebirth

Rebirth

A Poem by slfisher89

I sit on a rock

Staring into the distance

I close my eyes and sleep

An eternal sleep

memories,

personality,

my me-ness

falls away

When; I awake my shape reform.

Four legs replace two;

Thick fur replace thin skin.

I see through new eyes

My soul no longer imprisoned.

No longer forced to wear that useless costume.

There is snow everywhere;

Layers the forest.

It’s beautiful.

There are others like me

All around.

Black, brown, sliver,

I am white

I return to a similar rock;

i lay upon ages ago

I howl

A joyful song.

I am finally Free
