my first haiku...what do you guys think?

Wave of peace has come

From you given to me love.

Sent from God above.

I think this says it all--you don't need a bunch of extra words--I find it a challenge to get your point across in a 5-7-5 format!

Another poem where the less becomes the more. I want to change this haiku however and put a "my" in front of that "love" in the second line. Just the cat with a new collar screaming ...I have always had issues with form. Wonderful and Thanks!

Again, if you change it, won't you be messing with the syllables? I thought haikus had to have 5-7-5 rhyme scheme that's why I did it that way because I was trying to keep to form and this was only my first one, so I really didn't know what I was doing, or how to do it. Yep..but rules are such silly things in the eye of flow. This is a wonderful Haiku...I just like to offer my own sincere input because good poets deserve to hear all thoughts. I feel and think you deserve it...and again in this poem less was definitely more..Distinctively so.
I was once asked what key a song was in when I was relaying/teaching a Hendrix guitar riff and I smiled with the knowledge that Hendrix knew keys of course but he broke trough them at times to create a wonderful new sound combining blues and studio effect. The man tuned his guitar a half step down and took a right-handed guitar and strung it upside down because he was left handed. "Want" should have read "wanted" btw...sorry for any confusion. These are just my thoughts :) Beautiful poetry and

Oh I wasn't complaining, just asking a question as this was my first haiku i ever wrote. I was experiment with branching out so that I can experiment with different forms. Something else I want to try, I want to write a sonnet and then turn it into a Shakesperean sonnet which my mother said was really difficult, but its something I feel I must do to grow. Thank you for your honest thoughts I do deeply appreciate them and understand what you are saying. Sometimes when I lay down my thoughts jumble in my head so this is what comes out.
