Love Lost

Love Lost

A Poem by Jen Walters

A love lost is a sad thing,
A hole in the heart it can bring.
It leaves a pain,
That you cannot gain.
A deep wound that will not heal,
That even brother Time cannot seal.
A love lost is a medlesome being,
It can leave your eyes without seeing.
A love lost cannot go on,
For no one knows how long it has been gone.
A love lost is a deep sorrow,
With no promise of tomorrow.
How do you move on?
When love lost is long gone.
I travel this road alone,
Trying to undo what cannot be undone.
For only my eyes can see,
What love lost truly can be.
