Today Someone Asked Me if I was Happy with My LifeA Poem by Lindsay LukensThis is not a happy poem. Its not the MOST disturbing, but I think its beautiful anyway...of course I'm biased...
Today someone asked me
If I was happy
With my life;
Over and
Over; are you satisfied?
My teeth are shredded by
The lies passed through them.
Later, I lay in
Bed screaming,
Feathers hard on my face
Straining shrieks
Through my ruined mouth. © 2008 Lindsay LukensAuthor's Note
