Rain on a Car WindowA Poem by Lindsay LukensIts an object poem. Its a snapshot, a single instant in time riding in the backseat on the expressway in the rain.
Like cobwebs,
Back and down they trail. Sideways blows the wind,
But down?
I guess gravity runs
Faster than eighty miles an hour.
