QVC and Me

QVC and Me

A Poem by Lindsay Lukens
"

This is a funny poem unless you actually know me and know that when I get depressed I acually do lay on the floor and watch QVC...

"

I had a teacher once who
Said she watched QVC muted. Megan, her
Roommate, knew it was a bad
Sign. I loved it. Next time I feel in
To darkness, I turned it on. The lady onscreen
Reminded me of my Aunt Lisa; pants shoes and nails
All the same color. She laughed too much between
Descriptions that bordered on ostentation. I decided
To leave the sound on.
