You Don't Know That

Sometimes I'm not sure

How to make it up to you

I just don't want to make you mad

But you don't know that

I thought about quitting

Cause maybe I'm not good enough

For you or for anyone

But you don't know that

There are times you fool me

I'm aware of it and I just let myself be

Cause I appreciate your effort to make me smile

But you don't know that

I'm scared you'll tell me I'm wrong

I'm anxious not to get recognition if I'm right

Still, you are my example of humility

But you don't know that

You didn't know that I was hurt

You didn't know if I laughed at your joke

For me, as long as it's you, it doesn't matter

But you don't know that.

The risks you taught me to take

The comfort zones you asked me to leave

I'm thankful for this short and inspiring journey

But you also don't know that
