Just A Memory

Just A Memory

A Poem by Skylar Rose

The sky turns a deep shade of blue
as the golden leaves spiral down around us.
I step with my horse over a wooden bridge,
marveling at the surrounding forest.
The wind picks up just then,
carrying with it the smell of pine and
wildflowers, living out the last days of their peaceful lives
here in paradise.
We watch as
they quiver and sway and dance in the autumn breeze.
And
It's moments like this
that I wish I could
capture.

Author's Note

Skylar Rose
This is just a memory that is especially sweet. I love my horse, and I love autumn. So trail-riding or walking through the forest during my favorite time of the year is one of my favorite things to do.
