If Only If Only

If Only If Only

A Poem by That One Chick

Two worlds, no less opposite than day and night, were merging.

The world of a blackbird, with calm purple skies. A deep forest. An unlockable hovel, where nothing can set the depths free. And the world of a songbird, with light-hearted, kind skies, and a lone tree in the midst of a field. The darkness was fading, and the birds met. They were in love. Their souls were joining. Together they would soar through the purple clouds, through the dark forest trees, above the field, and into the shack. The rest of their forevers were standing just before them. The crow's doubt of the white bird. Dreams that seemed lost. Rubble in the eyes of those around the birds. Yet, the worlds were still merging. Distrust is forgivable in time. Love would never change for them. The young cockatoo, though injured, chose to fly with the mistaken crow. The worlds were one. The crow and the cockatoo no longer lived their lives, but lived their life. The two had become one.

Love the metaphors though I must say I do not fully understand them. I would also like to add that distrust is not forgivable through time more than it is taken advantage of again because once you break the barrier of trust, you cannot unbreak it, it is like virginity. Pure. I base my opinion off of personal experience and belief.
