The Spirit of The Grand Ole OpryA Poem by skote1972Wrote this as an introduction to the book I'm trying to complete final edits on... it's a little dark... and I like it that way! LOLThe Spirit of the Grand Ole Opry So
you want to join the hallowed few, Who
on this stage have made their mark. Well
the Grand Ole Opry’s calling you,
Lonely spirits in the dark. Bring
your best and brightest sons to us, We'll see if they past test, For
the spirits of the Ryman stage, Accept only country's best. Do you think you have the strength and skill, To join with us on our stage? Do you really have the right to sing, Tales and stories of your age? You
walk in the footsteps of the past, When
you walk across this floor. Where
Johnny, Hank Senior and Patsy, Wowed the crowds in days before. So
if you think you have what it takes, To make your legend well known. Step
in “The Circle,” take your shot, Add your spirit to our own. © 2012 skote1972Reviews
