Crimson Winter

Crimson Winter

A Poem by Andreas Pelonis
"

A poem I wrote after reading a bit of Robert Browning. It's dark and doom-y, but I think its pretty good.

"

Winter air fills my lungs
Longing fills my breast
Water's frozen, it no longer runs
Just like the crimson on her chest

This season never felt so cold
My heart never so frozen
She'd love me forever, so she told
At the end I wasn't chosen

Then those terrible feelings stirred
Her blood now warming my palms
The events leading to this horrible act fragmented, blurred
From the Book I read aloud psalms

God will here this crime justified
Gazing at her lovely body I say
She was a mislead sheep, she was a w***e and lied
Now she lie in the snow, her sins piled up, if only she didn't want to play…
