So close, so far

You're so close
Yet so far away
I know I'm not supposed to miss you
But can I miss you just for today?

I know it's a silly request
Just give me a chance
Can I just be your guest
So I can no longer
Feel this pain in my chest

Just as I thought
It is impossible for me
We just keep growing farther apart
All I want is a new start

I want to be closer
Not to grow farther apart
