This is how I felt one day...I wished the current would take me away

Sitting by the river,
Watching a leaf float by,
Wishing I could float with it,
Watching the current take it away,
Wonder where it's going,
Watching it disappear,
Following the current,
Wonder where it ends,
Letting my feet take me,
Anywhere but here,
Away from all the love and hate,
Away from all the jealousy and fear,
Away from all the happy and sad,
Away from all the feelings,
That cause us so much pain,
Closer to the calm,
Away from all the drama,
That causes so much stress,
Away from all the bad things,
That life can do without,
