well, hello there

well, hello there

A Poem by Kitty Cat

i've spent more of my time
looking for nature's beauty
than reading
and i've read a lot.
i've captured sundogs on the horizon
i've trapped crepuscular rays
i've even shadowed an eclipse
and been bathed in meteor showers.
how is it
this is the first i've truly seen you?
you should have appeared
long, long ago.

I had to read this a few times to understand but finally did and liked what you had to say. I understood it to mean that you have seen a lot but only just noticed someone or something new. How true this is for all of us.

Because the punctuation is all lower case (and the word nature is spelled wrong), I thought this was written through the eyes of a very young person and was surprised by the word crepuscular which would probably not be used by someone young. Not to step on your toes, or demean what you have written, but to me, the word twilight seems to be more fitting. I also looked up the meaning of sundogs and was happy to learn what they are. Good writing makes us have to think and your writing did that for me. Great job!
