A Poem by Kitty Cat
"

a poem about an old friend.

"
this is time-- firm
rooted to the ground
spreading, reaching
touching all, covering all.
this is time-- attacked
slashed and cut
seemingly defeated, barely
a shadow of a shadow.
this is time-- endless
still living, forever
in one, tens, hundreds,
all shadows of that shadow
continuing to exist.

Kitty Cat
This was written in memory of a tree I grew up with. They cut him down; it broke my heart. Still, trees never really die, I don't think.
