I had a dream not so long ago...
one of the lucid kind
I knew I was dreaming that was obvious
because as I walked amidst the jeweled ocean
I stumbled upon a curious foreboding looking island
and as I drew nearer I observed
how the ancient charred sands whipped up into the air
to create a new type of monstrosity
as I willed myself to focus on the scene around me
the scene around me began to fracture and crumble
starting from the furthest reaches of my creation
until there was nowhere left to run
the floor splintered open beneath my feet
I skipped the first chasm that was easy
but the floor began to give way and the whole terrain
vanished
until I was just falling into nothing
staring at the darkness as if It were going to be my friend
voices filled the void and as the hairs stood on end at the back of my neck

...
...
...

And then I went to bed.

*Welcome to "Pure Rhymes" Thanks for joining, great to have you...!*

Daydreams are almost like nightmares... Just life is almost a pleasant thing... Hah... The first chasm is always negotiable... But the rest... Maybe I can escape this waking hell in the hell of my sleep...
