Red LineA Poem by kaycee
these lines blur, you smudge them well. you drew them once, soon after we fell together.
i try to read them, but they've faded so that only you can tell me what they mean. because what it seems to me is but a dream, a nightmare of what's not, what could be happening.
now i'm not drunk enough to stumble from bed, to follow these lines, erase the weight of their invisible chains, the ones that turned us red.
i wish they'd haunt you instead. © 2008 kayceeReviews
