In the Hidden Hollow

In the Hidden Hollow

A Poem by Sonia
"

To go along with a book i am attempting to write, with the same name

"
In the hidden hollow the world was bright
the crickets sang, the birds in flight
and Mother watching us in our play
through the morning, through the day

We smelt of grass and earthly mud
never washed out with soap or sud
We were the skies children, free and wild
We forgot that sad and timid child

And though the rain our footsteps swept
and over the stones the vines have crept
Mother remains as will i
to keep the hidden hollow alive
