That little boy with the bright blue eyes
As deep as the oceans, as vast as the skies That little angel That larger boy with the speckled mug As spotted and coarse as an old burber rug That follower of Satan That little boy with his eyes shut tight Clenched his teeth, braced for the fight That apocalypse That thick red blood trickling down Gave him the painted smile of a clown That holy liquid That silent observer who saw the crime Her lips fused shut, a frightened mime That wide-eyed deer The threats that rang the morning after When the angel was pushed from the rafter That wingless flight That little boy with the bright blue eyes That silent observer who heard his cries That oppressor © 2010 SoniaAuthor's Note
