The Minotaur

The Minotaur

A Poem by Shayna Joyce
"

Based off the mythological story of the minotaur

"
~
I stare and I stare
at the abundance of walls
detached from the air
isolating my eyes from any beauty

What is friend? What is foe?
their faces always the same
taunting the fury that is inside me
yearning for me to blow

If I could fall, I could fly
from what I know is true
though unsound I would risk
for both would set me free

Risking the black and red
for just a glimpse of the yellow
