Lilion the AlienA Story by Not_A_WriterStory of Alien ObsessionLilion watched the gigantic ship. It was so close to the ground hovering just above her head, the sound was incredibly powerful. Lilion had gone outside a little bit ago because she had to pee. Her family was out camping in the Wind Rivers. When she walked out of the camper the massive ship was just there hanging in the air. It was like something out of the television shows she watched late at night when her parents were asleep. It could have been a few minutes that she was standing there, or several hours she couldn’t tell. The bright lights kept her mesmerized hypnotizing her. Then as if someone flipped a switch the ship went black taking off into the night. It had been so quick that Lilion couldn’t believe that the experience was real. Was it fear that she felt, excitement, or something else that is completely….alien. Lilion felt her pants they were wet, and she knew then that she was terrified. Some say that obsession with alien’s is biological, but Lilons obsession with aliens began that night. All of the fear, excitement, and wonder would follow her through life. The next summer she had her 10th birthday party and aliens were the theme. Some of the little girls would make fun of her. Their parties were princesses, and pink not alien, and green. She would be made fun of in school, but it didn’t matter because she knew what she saw. She decked her room
out in alien posters, and dolls. When she turned twelve, she bought green hair
dye from a guy at the county fair, and painted the tub with it trying to get
her hair green. It was a hilarious mess for her father who thought nothing of
it, but her mother became worried. For the family vacation they went to Roswell. Lilion had several siblings, and each year a sibling got to pick a place that they wanted to go. All her siblings rolled their eyes when she picked Roswell, but her father was pumped to go alien spotting at night. Lilion bought a camera with the money she had saved from a summer job. She was going to get them on tape. Alas they saw no aliens, and even worse everyone but her father blamed her for a terrible vacation. In a high school science classes Lilion would write about Aliens, and became extremely involved in classes because of it. She was incredible smart, and talented though she was often the subject of bullies who thought she was a freak. She began to live her life as a freak, and hang out with burnouts. She would do the smoker scene, drinking in school scene, dying her hair wild colors, and making out with strange men scene. She was losing control, and now her father who loved her very much was worried. One day she bullies pushed her too far. She ran home cutting off all of her hair. Lilion would now run away from home rather than stay, and be bullied. She only talked about aliens, and what she saw. Once she ran far away from home. When the police found her she was a few towns over tying to buy a pass to get “home.” It was at this time that her father, mother, and siblings all came to the same conclusion that she had to be committed. Lilion packed one bag holding a journal, some clothes, and her camera. Being institutionalized hurt her, but it made her famous on social media. Everyone telling her to be strong, and to come home soon those were the same people who put her here. They couldn’t leave her alone the freak who believes in aliens. She was released at the age of 20. She got her GED and
joined paranormal college learning about Aliens. She graduated top of her class
of 20. She hugged her father, and mother took the money her grandmother left
her and bought an RV. She left for New Mexico, and would spend as much time as
it would take to see them those strange visitors one more time. Lilion kicked back in her chair lighting a cigarette. The ashes from last night’s fire blew in the wind. It was nice to live in a place where you could sleep outside. She took her long black hair and flipped it back. The sun was at midday there was no point in waking up early not when UFOs come out at night. Empty bottles were all around her. She had become an alcoholic, and knew it. When she was instutionalised she met an alcoholic. He had gone blind from drinking hand sanitizer. Days passed like this now. Some were longer than others, but almost all were lazy. Lilan got up from her chair turning some as she looked out in the wild. The desert was red like normal, the air was hot like normal, and she felt like s**t like normal. Lilion had to go inside for a bit. She pulled open the door of the RV ducking her head walking in. She tripped over a leg almost falling on her face. Looking down she saw where Mike had passed last night. Of course he had vomit right next to him. What a lightweight. Mike was her friend, he wanted more, but that wasn’t something Lilion wanted. It wasn’t something she ever wanted. She had lost her virginity to a burnout guy in highschool. It wasn’t special like it was on the movies. They were smoking, and drinking in his car. She had just ran away from home again, and well it seemed like a good idea at that time. It wasn’t good, sex was never good. She once hooked up with one of the guys from her college. He turned out to be a real freak. He almost killed her. Moral of that story Lilion learned she didn’t care for sex. Lilion met Mike at an Alien get together she found on the deep web. Supposidily it was some kind of dark serious people only could get into. Lilion had a reputation, so she got in. Her and Mike hit it off and became partners. Mike was a good guy though even if he was a bit of a handsy drunk. He was a black hat hacker, and broke into military bases looking for hidden information on aliens. He never found any, the only use his hacking skills ever got them was robbing money from tourists alien hunters. Pricks had full time jobs, and weren’t dedicated to the hunt, not like Lilion was. Lilion stepped over Mike, and got a jug of water out of the
cupboard. She started to down it in big gulps. She put the top back on and sat
down in the small cramped dining area. She picked up her cigarette taking a
long drag finishing it off and mashing it down in the ash tray that was already
full of old butts. She spent most of the day smoking, and telling herself it
was too early to drink. Then it was maintenance, on the RV. When Mike got up
they both started working on cameras. They were going to stay out tonight and
work on their shoot. Lilion was messing with a small head cam fitting it onto a
helmet that she was going to wear when they rode out into the desert. Mike let
out a large sigh. “What was that Mike.” Lilion said still messing with the camera. She looked up over at him. Mike laid back into the couch the table in front of him a mess of computers, and parts. “What are we doing with our lives Lilly.” Lilion had this talk before with Mike plenty of times. It always happened right before they would go out on a ride, and freeze their a*s all night looking up in the sky. “What we are doing Mike is bringing actual proof to a corrupt system about the existence of aliens.” Lilion laid the camera down looking up at Mike. “You want to give up? I won’t stop you.” Mike slammed the table, “I f*****g can’t ok Lilly I just can’t anymore. You know I am smart I could have been a computer engineer, but instead I am here with this bullshit.” Mike pushes his fist into the table. “I’m not going you can go but I am over this.” He lays back into his chair crossing his arms staring her down. Lilion rolled her eyes looking down at her clock it was 9 just dark enough that she could see up into the sky. Lilion got up taking her camera, a bottle of Jack, and her gear bag. Turning to Mike she threw the head cam she had at him. “Grow a pair Mike” she walked out the door looking back she yelled, “Be gone when I get back you p***y.” Then she slammed the door shut. Lilion mounted her ATV and looked over at Mikes ATV she felt guilty calling him a p***y it wasn’t his fault she was insane. She unscrewed the top of the Jack Bottle and took a swallow. She started to drive south into the desert. She didn’t care where she went, she didn’t care which way she went only that she got the away. She may have spent an hour driving. She was far enough away from the camp ground in the hills completely surrounded by red dirt, dry brushes, and cacti. Lilion pulled out a chair unfolded it and planted down in it by the ATV practically falling into it. Pulling out the bottle unscrewing it and took a hit. How long had it been, she smiled reminiscing, how long had it been since she seen that ship? In all of its wonder, and power it was amazing. The sound was deafening, the air smelled of metal, and her eyes blinded by the light. She often wondered what they looked like, the inhabitance of that ship. She took another swig
from the bottle. Her insides warming up, and her brain getting that special feeling
in anticipation of a buzz. She wouldn’t light a fire that might cause her to
not see the ship. No she would just sip on the drink, huddling in her coat, and
hope to take a fuzzy picture of a UFO. Perhaps it had been a few hours since Lilions arrival in valley. The moon was high in the air, and Lilion was already asleep. Her chin laid down into her chest, and her hair covered her face. Naturally the bottle she drank from was half empty. There were a few cigarette butts lying around her on the ground. She was snoring loud enough to keep most things away, but there was one thing that was interested in her. He, if their planet had genders, stood at maybe 8 feet tall with incredibly long legs, and gray skin. His head was almond shape, with big black eyes. His arms fell down to his knees. He had no hair, and walked silently. He wore no clothes, his species evolved past using them. It was curious of this species in front of him. He had
always loved to study other intergalactic species; these ones were almost as
advanced as his civilization. There was much debate from where he lived about
intervention with these creatures, but for now the law stated no intervention.
There were some of his kind who took the humans, and conducted experiments on
them, but that was before people like her came. Her people government hunted so
hard for an answer, but never fully grasped the truth about his kind. He spent
some time there staring at her. He wanted to take her with him she obviously didn’t
belong. He contemplated these things, as he walked back to where he came from. Lilion jerked up the feeling of being watched immediately
set in. Eyes in the darkness. She got up taking out a flashlight and shining it
out into the brush. The beam bounced off of rocks, bushes, and red dirt. As she
moved the beam turning in a circle her heart began to race. It was an unnatural
feeling. She stopped; in front of her was a strange impression. Something had
been here. She froze into place a feeling of anxiety kicked in. It was the kind
of feeling that she had felt when she was a little girl. The decision to
follow, or to not follow came in waves. Her
curiosity gained the better of her, as she moved forward following the steps.
There were light impressions if you weren’t careful you could miss them. Lilion had followed the tracks that led up a mountain, and
down into a valley. The valley was massive, and she couldn’t follow the tracks
anymore. She stood at the edge of the mountain. A deep vibration started. It
was low at first then it started to get louder. The valley it was moving. It
seemed all at once the valley lifted up into the air. Lights kicking out
blinding her. Her heart was in her chest, and she could feel the fear in the
air. The machine was high up into the air now. Her heart stood still, and she
started to feel around for her camera, it was gone. Perhaps she dropped it or perhaps
she left it back at her ATV. The machine was now high into the air, and Lilion began screaming on the top of her lungs, “Please take me. Take me with you!” She yelled at the flying saucer hanging in the air. A beam hit her, and she felt her body slowly lifting up into the air. Her hands were held out in a cross as feet left the ground. The opening carried her up higher, and higher until she disappeared into the sky. The ship flew off taking flight into the night. Mike must have back tracked a dozen of times looking for
Lilion. He left long after she did. He couldn’t just leave her out there in the
desert. There is a real chance she could die. He rode his ATV until he found
Lilions. It took him sometime after that to find which direction she hiked in.
Now he was on Lilions path, fear crawling up inside of him a fear that he had
not ever felt, a heart pumping excitement. The ground began to vibrate low at
first then it increased. From ontop of the mountain he could see a blinding
light come up into the sky. The machine
it was flying, and in front of the machine on top of the mountain Mike could
see the silhouette of his dear friend Lilion. He began to shout as loud as he
could, but Lilion didn’t hear. Her body was now being lifted into the machine.
Mike stared dumbfounded. He took out his camera blinding taking video of the
machine. Lilion disappeared, and the machine took off into the sky. Mike wasn’t able to capture any real proof. He often thought of Lilion wondering where she went. He smiled to himself she finally got her wish she finally got to meet them. Mike sold all of their Alien stuff, and got a job at Google. He spent his days working on lines, and lines of code. Mike missed the chase, but he would never forget what he saw. A UFO, and his best friend leaving in one. What a strange world. © 2016 Not_A_Writer |
