Tip the Scales

A Poem by CarolinaRose
"

calm turns chaos

"
Diamond dust graces lips
longing for the blessed breeze
to scatter upon the winds of change.
Slow burn; flames lick at tendrils
Igniting into longing, yet stifled is the blaze

Evanescent reminder hangs, looming
Crystalline phantom pacing the tomb
Limbo its only destination yet dreaming
ever dreaming of goldenrod existence
Where flowers bloom through sand

So long have shackles held phoenix soul
grounded is the will to sour
Mockingly the stars spark and dance
Watching as calm retreats ever deeper
As the balance shifts toward chaos.

Author's Note

CarolinaRose
I suffer from severe depression and bipolar disorder. Few people know what kind of a toll that takes on the mind. I tried to explain it in the only way I knew how.
