EscapingA Poem by Sarah JaneShe takes back her life
A note left on the table,
Short and sweet, it does its job. Ends things nice and sweet, Or so she hopes. She doesn't stay to find out. She packs up all her hopes and dreams, leaving him with her doubts. She slips out of sight, Down the road to the unknown. She was on her own now, She leaves the town and her past behind. Not sure of what she will find, And that brings peace of mind.
