Enemy

Enemy

A Poem by registeredisaster

In the corner of our hearts

Something dark and evil starts

It begins a whisper in our ears

It starts to play with our fears

We laugh in joy at its words

We smile emptly like sheep in herds

Only after much decite

Do we start to wonder, in too deep

Relization crashes over

Lead astray, cold as october

The voice of joy turns to hate

We start to realize its too late

Our selves to blame for disaster

Our lives left twisted by some castor

The one who binds us to this hell

Is ourselves for listening well

Drowning in a dark abyss

We wish for that which we miss

I like the strong statements and the direction the poem took me. When we allow fear and darkness to control. We are aiming at a bad place. A strong ending to a excellent poem.
