Bittersweet

Bittersweet

A Poem by registeredisaster

I saw you lying by my side

I awake my damaged pride

You spoke my name in your dreams

My life was bursting at the seams

I felt with you a loving grace

With you i felt in my place

A lost piece found

A restless soul bound

A single thing kept me away

The mark of death on you must stay

My heart shattered at the thought

A life without you i'd rather not

A need that was greatly dire

To leave while possible our passions fire

Yet as i start to slip away

Your face turns towards me and i must stay

My heart now torn in two

I am forever lost without you

the rhyme in the poem sounds like it is being forced rather than allowing it to flow.
