I'm Painting my Soul on the Canvas

I'm Painting my Soul on the Canvas

A Poem by C.B.
"

about painting. I closed my eyes and thought of my soul and attempted painting the depths.

"

I’m painting my soul upon the canvas

Within each stroke a straining thought of

Looking for the perfect hue on a spectrum

Too complex for the human eye.

But this medium is simpler for others to

Think they understand,

Words can be ambiguous, but

Pictures say a thousand words.

Each word more confusing than the next.

I’m painting my soul upon this canvas

Just to prove it because

People need to see it to believe it.

How hard will they look?

Will they look to the symbology of colors,

The bold and fine lines,

Or will they just assume

It’s just another dragonfly

Against the twilight?

I’m painting my soul and filling this canvas

And even I do not understand its depth.
