MY HEART

 

i feel its being torn

im in so much pain.

do you see what you did

it feels so insane.

 

you promised you wouldnt

hurt me but then.

look where im standing

crying within.

 

i have to keep it hidden

behind this smile.

and i feel i must hide it

for quite awhile.

 

if i dont hide it

people will question

hun whats wrong?

i will tell them you kept it

 

you took my heart

and you took it for granted

and tore it to pieces

and then you ranted

 

the way you obstructed

and ruined my heart

i should have know you

would from the very start

 

but instead i was stubborn

and seriously i believed you

and now i am left with my heart torn in two.

 

why did you say

those three words

you know it didnt do anything

instead it made it worse

 

i know now

not to trust

men with my heart

for it will surely bust

 

exploding and leaving

me with nothing at all

thats why i must remain to stand tall

 

and hide this pain

im feeling within

to keep it a secret

not telling a friend

 

i feel much better

to let it all out

you can leave me now

and i will smile without a doubt

 

feeling much better

to tell the tale

of how you hurt me

and now i am well.
