A Ghost of Never

i feel compelled to say this is now a lie, because it is now, but its still something i used to do and now i need to start over again to stop.

sharpie scribbles

across my arms and legs.

reminders of everything

that i've worked so hard for,

of everything

that i've been against.

it's coming back to haunt me

to bring me back

to a time i will never return to

this poem expresses a really struggle. It really comes out in the words and the form. To repeat never never never means something you are truly fighting and something that you must really need to push back,that you want badly to keep away.
