The Final Declaration.. I give up.

Always.. For those who are untarnished: Don't ever let anyone steer you away from an art based career and life. Self-satisfaction and internal happiness, much more important than the ol' mighty $.

I always loved to sing and dance;
I was shy, hated my mouth and my body was fat.
I was told no one would take interest.
So, I gave up.

At one time, I enjoyed the company of people.
I laughed, felt comfort and ease.
Until I was judged, used, tarnished and trashed.
So, I gave up.

I'd write letters and stories, sing lyrics and poems;
which, I 'think' had won your heart.
Then I compared my talent to yours
Declared that you were God and I suck…

There was a time when I could be a friend;
held my door wide open.
Then the voices told me fabricated 'truth'
and I believed it all and gave up.

I used to be able to smile without effort,
sunshine followed me in abundance.
Then it was ripped from my world, when I left you
and I gave up.

I loved a man so dearly, I had promised life.
Still, I have never loved myself,
this worthless waste of life was never good enough.
Therefore, I gave you up.

Now, I regret those actions and this existence.
I'll succumb to the pain and fade away,
from you and this earth, honorably displaying
my official declaration of giving up.
