Spirit MotherA Poem by Danielle M Regaladoour earthLook into the east, blowing winds shifted the stars. Bringing out the sun we’ve touched ever so far, the life Of the mother, so gentle and nurturing, loving her children, shun only to disease.
South of the mountains, death enters the valley. Rotting rivers of oil, soak the baby’s belly. Burning in the fire of the scorching red star Leaving cracks and late plant life only a scar Of deserted spirit.
I’ll run to the north and touch the sky so blue. Frosted icicle dreams solemnly left subdued. A blistering dagger of water, lifted high in the air. To the white breasted wolf, with the piercing blue stare.
I’ve sailed to the west, in rough salty waters. And brought time to a stand still, left nothing to alter. The breeze blowing softly in her soft, fragile ear. High tides rushing dusk silently near.
I dance naked around the brightest fire, Alone but presence slowly surrounds, all divinity higher. She caresses the spirit deep within me, She touches my mind, I’m left with her serenity. © 2015 Danielle M Regalado |
