Lost World

Lost World

A Poem by Danielle M Regalado

Wither my flower,

You’re lost without me.

I’ve found you drowning

in your rotten water.

Something tells me you’re

out of mind, and out of place.

Where do I belong?

Where do I come in?

No hope is gone,

in my little world..

Just as we fly through

the stars and pound our fists

against the moon.

A faint cry fills the atmosphere

with guilt and hatred.

I just don’t want to be here

in this sea of loss.

Where we stand alone,

is the place we want to be.

Pull me out of the cave

I will die on your shoe,

with a smile on my face.
