The Pleasing Pain

The Pleasing Pain

A Poem by Sinister Colin
"

A song written in memories of a lost lover...

"
It was the day, I was so wrong,
That I agreed to stay by your side.
It was the trust, that i just folllowed you,
To get this pleasing pain that won't subside.

With all the promises, and the vicarious smile,
You slowly revved me up, and i flew too high.
I never realized the other side of you.
Now, broken, alone, on the surface, I lie.

Though I miss you, but i think it's late.
What wrong I did, that you broke my heart?
All the lovely cards and those beautiful flowers,
The touch of our hands, feelings have ripped apart.

I said "I can't afford to lose you".
You said, forever, you will stay.
Now when i need you, it's just the shadows i chase.
I see the ashes of the past, flying away.

BRIDGE:
{As I walk past that haunted bench,
Where you first held my hand.
Though you've drifted so far away,
I'm drowning within my own agony.

I light fire around,
With all your memories ablaze.
As the burning flames prance over me,
The vission turns to a haze.}
